The pharmacological properties of new pessaries for treating vaginitis tentatively called «Klimedeks» have been studied in the thesis. On the stage of screening studies of antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties the following components for one pessary have been experimentally substantiated: clindamycin phosphate – 100 mg, metronidazole – 150 mg, fluconazole – 100 mg, dexamethasone – 0.5 mg, Hippophae rhamnoides oil – 200 mg; and base consisting of PEO-1500 and PEO-400 mixture (9:1) – to 3.2 g. The study of new pessaries «Klimedeks» carried out on the model of experimental vaginitis caused by mechanical and chemical stimuli has confirmed the presence of expressed antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and reparative properties and has proved their high efficiency and superiority relative to comparison drugs - vaginal tablets «Mycogynax» and «Suppository with sea buckthorn oil». The application of electromagnetic radiation in the millimeter wave range in the circuitry of complex therapy of vaginitis with pessaries «Klimedeks» potentiates the effect of the latter. The complex of toxicological studies has revealed that according to generally accepted K.K. Sidorov's classification pessaries «Klimedeks» belong to Class IV toxicity, do not show irritation action and toxic effects on the functional state of the ovaries and antagonistic activity against strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus determines the possibility of the using the pessaries simultaneously with local probiotics.
