Barabash V. Upbringing of Students of Engineering Specialties of Technical Higher Educational Establishments

The dissertation gives the theoretical generalization and a new approach to the important and topical task, which is expressed in form of theoretical reasoning and experimental verification of pedagogical facilities of civic education of engineering students at the institutes of higher technical education: the development of civic values of future specialists in the process of teaching of social and humanitarian subjects as well as special subjects; the development of civic education by means of the scientific and research activity, the activation of student government as the factor of development of civic education. The essence of the concept of "civic education of engineering students" is defined. The essence of the "civicism" concept of engineering students, the criteria, indicators and levels of civicism formation of engineering students is specified: low (elementary), middle (moderate), high (enthusiastic). The educational and methodological assurance of the process, providing the civic education of engineering students in the institutes of higher technical education is developed and experimentally tested.
