Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the investigation of the biochemical mechanisms of cisplatin-induced nephropathy in rats which is associated with violation of sulphur-containing amino acids metabolism and elaboration of approaches to correct this complication. It is proved that homocysteine thiolactone-induced hyperhomocysteinemia and administration of inhibitor hydrogen sulfide-producing enzyme cystathionine-gamma-lyase propargylglycine potentiate caused by cisplatin nephropathy. The use of vitamins В6, В9, В12 with hypohomocystinemic action and exogenous donor of hydrogen sulfide sodium hydrosulfide counteract this complication.
