The thesis is devoted to the studying of biochemical mechanisms of high glucocor-ticoids concentration effects on the sulfur-containing amino acids metabolism and devel-opment of the methods of correction of sulfur amino acids metabolism disorders in hyper-corticism. It has been shown that the administration of dexamethasone to rats is accompanied with increased homocysteine (GC) level in blood serum as result of the methylation cycle reactions disorders and transsulfuration pathway inhibition in the liver and kidneys of animals.
