Beregova O. Linguostylistic and communicative-functional features of Spanish folk riddle.

The thesis deals with the singling out of compositional, typological, syntactic and stylistic characters of Spanish folk riddles. Such riddles were investigated by means of joining the structural and communicative-functional approaches to textual phenomena. The linguostylistic status of Spanish folk riddles has been singled out. Spanish folk riddle has been analysed as a textual category with a certain structure, the elements of which code the denotatum. The compositional structure of the riddles with their typical morphology and syntax has been represented. Specific nature of Spanish folk riddles taking into account their structure, syntax and stylistics as well as their main typolical features and ludic character, which caused their interpretation as an ethnic phenomenon. Such riddles are presented in the form of a short formatted statement, which explain appearance, qualities and image of an object. This object is not named directly, but it is coded through the other objects of the subculture.
