The thesis of Ahmad El Aaraj is concerned with the experimental validation of use of quercetin combination with glucosamine derivatives for optimization of drug therapy of patients with inflammatory destructive and metabolic myocardial lesions. There was carried out a comparative study of cardioprotective properties of quercetin and glucosamine derivatives different by active substance content. The study reveals the most optimal proportion of active ingredients – a mixture of aminosugars and quercetin – 1:3 in a dose of 81,9 mg/kg. High cardioprotective effect of quercetin and glucosamine derivatives combination was shown with the models of different variants of myocardial lesions (neurogenic, alternative and proliferative). According histomorphological studies the combination of quercetin with glucosamine derivatives facilitates preservation both morphological structure and ultrastructure of cardiac tissue. Cardioprotective action of the studied combination is stipulated with synergistic interaction of its components – antioxidant and antiproliferative effects of quercetin together with membraneprotective and antialterative properties of glucosamine.
