Essay

In the dissertation the esthetic analysis of historical transformation of an artistic image in plastic arts is made, the concept of "plastic art" which includes not only sculpture, but also painting and architecture is expanded. It has been proved that an artistic image gets features of a universal paradigm of plastic art when its components subjective and objective, rational and emotional, conscious and unconscious, typical and individual are revealed at ontological level. In the dissertation research the reasons of deformation of an artistic image in modernism, unlike a modernist style (which experiments only within the limits of the art form), have been established. Integrity as the necessary precondition of existence of an artistic image disintegrates in modernism under the influence of the theory of anthropological negativism which understands art value as a deviation from norm and calls to subjectivist arbitrariness of creative process. The concept of "an object esthetics" is analyzed; according to it "an object" is regarded as the modification of the concept of "a work of art": artists "are not creating", they "are practicing", they give subjects new names, create simulacra which in Dadaism symbolizes "replicating" end. In postmodernist art practices the artistic image transforms into "pastiche" and "simulacrum" that testifies conscious reorientation of art creativity and marks the break from the foundations of classical West European art.
