Object of the study - German pedagogy late XVIII - the first third of the XIX century; purpose of the study - theoretical ideas and practical experience of harmonious education of the child in the concept of philanthropist late XVIII - the first third of the XIX century; the aim of my research is systematic and scientific synthesis of the theory and practice of harmonious education of the child in pedagogy of philanthropism; methods of my research: Historicaly-pedagogical analysis and synthesis (to determine assumptions research object, subject, goals and objectives); historicaly-structural method for structuring researched historical and pedagogical knowledge and its correlation with specific periods, the dominant ideas; structural and genetic method for reviewing and studying the transformation of historical and educational events 18-19 century; personalistic and biographical research method for reconstruction of certain provisions educational views philanthropist; historical and genetic analysis of philanthropist works, their contemporaries and followers; terminological analysis; scientific novelty of the study is that the first time the analysis of the theory and practice of harmonious education of the child in the educational concept of philanthropism and defined its characteristics (center pedagogical concept - the child and its development, identifying new approaches to education and training of children, establishment of educational institutions new type), the structure, content, forms and methods of the educational process in the schools of the new type - philanthropins and outlines their role in the development of ideas of harmonious education; further progress has been covering progressive ideas representatives of foreign upbringing on the ideas of harmonious education; characteristic conditions (political, economic, educational) development of educational trends philanthropism late XVIII - the first third of the nineteenth century; characteristic historiography research problems.
