Object - the higher mathematical education in Ukraine in the nineteenth - early twentieth century; purpose - the genesis of mathematical education in higher educational institutions (university) of Ukraine in a study period; methods - are historical, general, comparative comparable, chronological, the novelty is that the first time in widely reproduced chronological history of the development of higher mathematics education in Ukraine, scientific stages of formation and development of higher mathematics education. We defined the prospects of creative using the educationally valuable ideas, concepts and experiences of higher mathematics education in modern issues. We specified understanding of the origins and development of higher mathematics education, information about the content, forms and methods of higher mathematics education researched period. The further development has become generalization of experience of teaching mathematical subjects in higher educational institutions of Ukraine in a particular historical period and the contribution of local educators, scientists and university professors in the theoretical foundations of teaching mathematical subjects. The results are research's materials which can be helpful at carrying out of seminars and meetings of pedagogical councils, institutes curators, system of professional development of teachers of mathematics, during the preparation of the textbook, educational and methodical manuals, when you are writing coursework, master thesis and diploma work, besides when you need to compose the educational and methodical programs for courses "The History of Pedagogy", "The History of Mathematics", "The methodology of teaching mathematics"; branch - pedagogy.
