Essay

The Thesis is devoted to the investigation of problem of increase of maintenance of pectin matters in the tomato fruits for varieties and hybrids breeding for canning and processing. There is determined the level and character of variability of economic-valuable signs of tomato collection and their reaction on the terms of environment; cross-correlation connections of productive, anatomic and chemical signs at a tomato; regularity of manifestation of the productivity and pectin matters content at the hybrids F1; combination ability of tomato forms on the productivity and content of pectin substances of tomato fruits and peculiarities of quantitative signs manifestation in F1 hybrids in the conditions of Forest-steppe of Ukraine. There is determined the level of adaptive ability, stability and plasticity of F1 hybrids, among which there are revealed perspective heterotic combinations, recommended for State Variety Testing. New high pectin tomato lines are created with improved high pectin matters content and economically valuable signs, which are good for use in heterotic breeding and as initial material for other breeding directions.
