Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of formation of cognitive independence of teenagers in scientific and technical groups of out-of-school educational establishments. Philosophical, psychological, pedagogical aspects of the explored problem are analyzed in the work. The essence and structure of cognitive independence of teenagers are specified. Criteria, indices, and levels of formation of the abovementioned quality of personality are found out. Pedagogical conditions for formation of teenagers' cognitive independence in scientific and technical groups of out-of-school educational establishments are developed, substantiated, and experimentally tested (introduction of the programs for avia- and space-modeling groups aimed at formation of teenagers' cognitive independence; introduction of project activities into practice of scientific and technical groups of out-of-school educational establishments; individual independent research work of teenagers that takes into account their age features; subject-subjective co-operation between participants of educational process.
