The thesis focuses on the problem of formation of senior pupils' professional aspirations in the process of learning the humanities. The research reveals the essence of professional aspirations, their stimulating and purpose-oriented function of senior pupils' professional self-determination. It characterizes career guidance potential of the humanities in formation of senior pupils' professional aspirations. The thesis contains the developed criteria, indicators for formation of senior pupils' professional aspirations, and the detected levels of their manifestation. It comprises the developed and the introduced pedagogic conditions for formation of senior pupils' professional aspirations in the process of learning the Ukrainian language and literature, the world literature, the foreign language, and their verified efficiency.
