Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of education of adolescents in the crisis period of their development. The paper analyzes the psychological and pedagogical principles of the problem in pedagogical theory and educational practice. The essences of the concepts "crisis of adolescence", "education of adolescents" are specified. On the basis of analysis of adolescents' typical features, the particular nature of their education is substantiated. The structure, criteria, indicators, and levels of education of adolescents are characterized and revealed. Pedagogical conditions are defined, a personality-oriented model of education of adolescents is developed and experimentally tested in practice.
