Target of research - light motor vehicle motion process with an allowance for deviation of car undercarriage geometry. Scope of research - the influence of deviation of car undercarriage geometry on a light motor vehicle maneuverability and stability. This study was conducted employing theoretical and experimental methods of research. Academic novelty of the findings lies in the fact that the author for the first time has: - given scientific credence to the influence of deviation of attachment points between the suspension and undercarriage on maneuverability and stability of light motor vehicles; - further developed theoretical approaches and evaluation methods of serviceability affecting traffic safety which make it possible to factor in the influence of deviation of attachment points between the suspension and undercarriage on maneuverability and stability of light motor vehicles; - developed a test method for evaluating the maximum deviation of attachment points between the suspension and undercarriage and their inspection periodicity with a view to ensuring consistency of light motor vehicle maneuverability and stability characteristics; The findings from the research are applied in the "Kharkiv regional research and production center for standardization, metrology and certification" government enterprise, design and testing department of the closed joint-stock company "Zaporizhzhia automotive manufacturing plant", university laboratories, and in the academic activities of KhNAHU. The findings outlined in the thesis may be used by: - automakers of Ukraine; - motor repair service providers of Ukraine.
