Kanivec T. Formation of students' psychological readiness for future professional careers.

The thesis is devoted to the formation of students' psychological readiness for their future professional careers. The work includes theoretical basis, methodology and the empirical research findings of the problem in question. The author discussed the difficulties faced by students in their professional career training as well as the content and structure of students' psychological readiness for future professional careers. The investigation found underdevelopment of students' readiness for professional career pursue and correlations between the levels of psychological readiness and organizational-professional (department, type of education) and socio-demographic (age, gender, marital status, place of birth) characteristics of students. The investigation also found 'desirable' forms of students' professional career training in institutions of higher education and a significant gap between the 'desirable' and 'real' forms. The author designed a training course 'Formation of students' psychological readiness for their future professional careers' giving much attention to its content, structure, and interactive technology.
