Logvynenko M. Concept SEARCH OF IDENTITY in ?.–E. Schmitt’s Posthumanistic Fiction: Cultural, Discursive and Narrative Aspects

The thesis focuses on revealing cultural, discursive and narrative aspects of the concept SEARCH OF IDENTITY in the posthumanistic prose of the contemporary French writer ?ric–Emmanuel Schmitt. The research elaborates a complex methodology for the analysis of the concept SEARCH OF IDENTITY in E.–E. Schmitt’s posthumanistic prose. The structure of the concept SEARCH OF IDENTITY has been outlined along with the textual concept-scenario; its cultural characteristics and their implementations in Schmitt’s texts have been analyzed. Discursive and narrative dynamics of the textual concept-scenario SEARCH OF IDENTITY has been elucidated. The narrative identity of the narrator and the degree of his involvement in the posthumanistic fiction have been outlined.
