The problem of technical universities students' professional self-affirmation formation during extracurricular upbringing process has been researched. On the basis of theoretical and empirical scientific results the pedagogical conditions of technical university students' professional self-affirmation formation during extracurricular upbringing process were proved. Among them there are presence of positive motivation and setting of professional self - affirmation formation during extracurricular upbringing work; diversity of extracurricular upbringing work forms to suit individual interests and needs of students; the implementation of the "curator - students" relations on the basis of pedagogic interaction and joint creative work; the creation of pedagogically driven educational environment in extracurricular upbringing work. The functional model of technical universities students' professional self-affirmation formation was introduced. Its efficiency was provided with denoted pedagogical conditions that was experimentally proved by means of the author's programmе of extracurricular educational work.
