A research object is organization of the system of geriatrics help a population as important детерминанты of quality of life of persons declining years. A purpose of work is a ground of theorist-methodical bases and development of practical recommendations of principles organization of the system of geriatrics help in a region and suggestions of ways on its development. Research methods. Theoretical and methodical basis of work are fundamental positions of economic theory, social economy, demography, medicine, sociology, and also research of domestic and foreign scientists on questions of geriatrics and organization of geriatrics help a population. In the process of research the methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization were used, sociological, system, demographic transition, graphic, index. Scientific-methodical and organizational-economic bases of forming and development of the system of geriatrics help the population of region are first grounded in-process, the order of determination of volume of minimum necessity of population of region in geriatrics services and approaches is improved on the improvement of organization of the system of geriatrics help a population. Purchased further development: determination of essence of concept "Market of geriatrics services" and concept "Organization of the system of geriatrics help"; scientific-methodical bases of demographic prognostication of quantity and structural changes in the group of persons declining years in a region; positions on the ground of role of necessities of population declining years in geriatrics services in the general hierarchy of necessities of man.
