Hvozdovych Y. Formation and Using ofthe Innovative Potential of the Youth

The object of study - the processes and events that form the innovative potential of young people and influence on the level of its use. The main aim is to study the theoretical and methodological bases of formation and use of innovative potential of young people in Ukraine and to develop recommendations for improving the socio-economic basis of its development in the context of an innovative economy. Research Methods. The theoretical and methodological basis of the thesis is the fundamental tenets of the innovation theory, theories of post-industrial society, human capital and the creative economy, the motivation of human activity as well as some aspects of the philosophical, sociological, psychological, administrative and educational sciences. In the study there were used the following general scientific and specific research methods: a theoretical comparison, compilation, synthesis, system-structural analysis methods of economic and statistical analysis, graphical modeling, correlation and regression analysis, the method of peer review, the index method and the method of groupings. There was improved scientific and methodical approach to assessing the innovation potential of the youth in Ukraine by calculating the integral index, the interpretation of the term "innovative potential of young people", classification of the main factors influencing the development and use of innovative potential of young people, the concept of the mechanism of formation and use of innovative potential of young people, for the further development were presented the interpretation of the term "innovative work", the assessment of current trends to create opportunities for the development and implementation of innovative potential of young people in Ukraine, the research and application guidelines improving the socio-economic mechanism of formation and use of innovative potential of young people. The practical guidance on key areas of improving the innovative capacity of young people in the region were used by the Department of Family and Youth of Lviv Regional State Administration for the preparation of socio-economic and cultural strategy of the Lviv region in 2012. Organizational aspects stimulating the formation and use of innovative potential of the students were reviewed and approved by the Commission on Education and Science of the Lviv regional council. Some results of research concerning analytical assessment of trends using innovative potential of young people were used by Pension fund in the Lviv region and the Committee on Social Policy and Labour of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to prepare recommendations on pension reform in the region.
