Object: the process оf teacher training at German higher educational institutions; aim: to define theoretical and methodological foundations of practice-oriented focus of teacher training at German higher educational institutions, possibilities of German experience application in domestic pedagogical theory and practice; methods: terminological and structural-functional analysis; constructive-genetic, comparative-diachronic, method of extrapolation, interviewing by means of on-line questionnaires, analysis of normative-educational documentation; novelty: the theoretical and methodological foundations of practice-oriented teacher training at German higher educational institutions are revealed, the possibilities of using the German positive experience for improvement of Ukrainian teacher training process are presented; research results lie in defining the perspective directions of using the German positive experience for practice-oriented focus of teacher training; branch – General Pedagogy and History of Pedagogy
