The work is devoted to the pharmacological study of lipophilic extract from flower pollen. It was shown that a single rectal administration of lipophilic extract from flower pollen didn't cause animals death and its dose exceeded 10 g/kg which enables to classify it as relatively harmless substances (VI toxicity class). It was established that a long-term (over 6 months) rectal administration of the drug to male rats at doses LEFP 25 mg/kg and 75 mg/kg didn't cause a negative impact on overall behavior, overall trophic processes without changing the functions and histostructures of animals' vital organs. Suppositories with LEFP had no local irritant activity, didn't affect negatively on humoral and cellular immunity of mice, after repeated skin applications showed no sensitizing activity. Therapeutic efficacy of LEFP on the models of prostatitis of different etiologies was shown: cryotraumatic, turpentine and piercing. It was established that pharmacological effectiveness is associated with the presence of anti-inflammatory, membraneprotective and antioxidant activities. On the base of research lipargin suppositories have been developed. A prostate protective activity of suppositories lipargin-1 on the model of turpentine prostatitis in rats and its ability to normalize the amount and values of functional activity of spermatozoids were proven, the ability to restore androgenic saturation of animals was proven also. It was shown that both single and weekly administration of rectal suppositories lipargin-1 at a dose of 650 mg/kg resulted in complete recovery of all components of sexual behavior of male rats.
