Essay

The thesis is devoted to the experimental study of anti-inflammatory activity of Sorbus aucuparia leaves thick extracts (SALTE). The study suggests that SALTE belonges to the VI class of toxicity – a relatively harmless substances. It was established antiexudative effect of SALTE, and conventionally effective dose of SALTE was determined, which is 100 mg/kg. It was established that SALTE has expressed anti-alterative, antioxidant, reparative, membranostabilizine, antipyretic, mild analgesic and antiexudative (on the model of adjuvant arthritis) effect. It was established that SALTE as well as silymarin, has a strong hepatoprotective and choleretic effect. Thus, the study has experimentally confirmed the prospect of creating medicines with anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective effects based on SALTE for treatment of chronic and moderately severe inflammatory diseases of the liver and joints.
