The Object: theory and practice of pre-school education in Ukraine in the second half of the twentieth century; the objective is to identify and substantiate the theoretical foundations of education of preschool children in domestic educational establishments of Kherson (the second half of the twentieth century) in the context of solving modern problems of education of children of preschool age in the conditions of further modernization of preschool education; methods: historical, scientific, relatively-content chronological; novelty: for the first time scientifically proven history of creation and activity preschool establishments of Kherson region as educational institutions, special (departmental) and of General type in the education system of Ukraine; determines the stages of development of pre-school education in Kherson region the study period; the peculiarities of the functioning of pre-school institutions of the 50's - early 90-ies of XX century; in the scientific circulation introduced new and little known archival sources and publications which reveal the specifics of education of preschool children in the educational establishments of Kherson second half of the twentieth century; the factors that influenced the formation of the network of preschool institutions of Ukraine and Kherson; further development of an idea of the influence of the region on education preschool children in the educational establishments of Kherson second half of the twentieth century and on the development of theoretical foundations of the research problem; the result: Theoretical principles and generalized practical experience of education of preschoolers can be used in further research on the history of Russian education; the development of training courses "History of pre-school pedagogics, History of pedagogics", "Pedagogics", "Pedagogics of higher school", "Preschool education", special courses and seminars, in the writing of textbooks and manuals, methodical recommendations of the above courses, course and diploma works in the pedagogical educational establishments of III-IV levels of accreditation in the system of postgraduate education; sphere: General pedagogics and history of pedagogics.
