Essay

The thesis is devoted to development of scientific bases and practical recommendations to control aviation fuels watering with hydrodynamic cavitation assistance. A key result of these studies is a refined analytical dependencies of the change in cavitation pressure threshold of water content in the fuel. For the first time our experiments have probed dependences of the signal from the pressure sensor hydrodynamic cavitation to quantify the water content in the fuel during the analysis in the time domain and measuring the pressure in the dilution zone. Increasing of value of the signal during the growth of the water content in aviation fuel authorized in the regulations limits was proved. A newly formulated criterion for evaluating the water content in the fuel is based on the identified dependencies. Based on our experimental and theoretical studies, we have developed new methods for controlling aviation fuel watering. We have proved that the use of our newly developed method for monitoring the total water content in aviation fuel increases the functional efficiency of the serviced object (fuel systems of aircraft) in comparison with the methods being used, if the task was providing the highest quality of output characteristics, ie minimal losses.
