The thesis is for Candidate Degree in Pedagogy in speciality 13.00.01 - General Pedagogy and History of Pedagogy. - Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Kyiv, 2014. This thesis focuses on the research of the development of the healthcare idea in physical education of children in preschools in Ukraine in the second half of XX - the beginning of the XXI century. The work analyses and classifies the historiography and resources of the research. Two periods of the healthcare idea development in physical education of children in preschools in Ukraine in the second half of XX - the beginning of the XXI century is substantiated: the scientific substantiation of development of the idea and its implementation in public preschool education (1950-1990); actualization of the healthcare idea in physical education of children and health-improving orientation of educational process while modernizing preschool education (1991-2012) and five stages are specified. Social pedagogical determinants of studying the idea of healthcare in physical education of preschool children; recruitment and health development with the help of efficient means system of physical education that influence the quality of the life-sustaining activity of preschool children are stated.
