Essay

Object – the educational process at institutions of higher education of the second part of XX century; aim – to systematize theoretical ideas and generalize the practice of forming intellectual skills in students of Humanities at domestic classical universities during the second part of XX century in order to creatively implement the efficient historical experience in present-day educational process; methods – historical-pedagogical, theoretical, systemic-structural, problem and goal-oriented, comparative, retrospective ; novelty –the research is the first present the comprehensive analysis of theoretical ideas and the practice of forming intellectual skills in students of Humanities at domestic classical universities during the second part of XX century; the origin of the development of ideas of forming individual’s intellectual skills has been specified; the historiographic data on the problem of forming intellectual skills in students of Humanities at domestic classical universities have acquired further study within the specified time period; results – theoretical and practical findings can be used for forming intellectual skills in students at present-day institutions of higher education, they will be helpful in teaching History of Pedagogy, General Pedagogy, for working out new courses and writing teaching manuals and textbooks on Pedagogy ; field – pedagogy.
