Poliak N. Improvement of Social Security System for Economically Active Population in Ukraine

The thesis contains comprehensive study of the theoretical and methodological basis of social security system for economically active population functioning and development and the scientific-practical recommendations for improvement this system in Ukraine are developed.The core understanding of social security institute by the form and meaning is defined. Definition of "social security of the economically active population" is proposed. The structure and relationships between social security system elements are outlined. The necessity in development an effective national concept for social security for the economically active population in Ukraine is specified and main directions and activities for its implementation are proposed.Potential of applying European social standards into the social security system for the economically active population in Ukraine are justified; the tools of adaptation Ukrainian standards to the standards of European Code of Social Security are developed. The methodical approaches to forecasting benefits in the social security system for economically active population are improved through use of actuarial methods and developed algorithms for social benefits forecasting on the basis of economic-mathematical simulation social budget model.
