Object : development of pedagogical competence of the parents-educators of the family-type orphanages; aim: scientifically substantiate, develop and experimentally verify of social-pedagogical conditions, which provide development effectiveness of pedagogical competence of the parents-educators of the family-type orphanages in the process of social-pedagogical support; methods: analysis of scientific literature, abstraction, concretization, comparison, classification, systematization, generalization, questioning, conversation, interview, testing, content-analysis of documents, direct and indirect teaching observation, reflection of professional activity, social-pedagogical experiment, quantitative and qualitative processing of data by means of the methods of mathematical statistics; scientific novelty: developed, scientifically substantiated and experimentally verified effectiveness of social-pedagogical conditions of development of pedagogical competence of the parents-educators of the family-type orphanage in the process of social-pedagogical support; results: developed and implemented in the process of social-pedagogical support of the parents-educators of the family-type orphanage the social-pedagogical orientation complexes of lectures, seminars, trainings for the parents-educators and specialists of the social-pedagogical sphere, which carry of social-pedagogical support of the family-type orphanage, and also the methodic of the complex diagnostics of levels of development of pedagogical competence of the parents-educators of the family-type orphanages, which has applied value and could be used in the work Centre of social services for family, children and youth with the aim to determine the quality of professional activity of the parents-educators of the family-type orphanages; an activity of groups reciprocal support of the parents-educators of the family-type orphanages; branch of science – social pedagogy.
