Essay

In experimental model it was shown that usage of synthetic inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinases doxycycline contributed to wound healing. In the group of rats without treatment it was shown that course of burn wound is characterized by more pronounced and longer lasting increase in proteolytic activity; increase in level of marker proinflammatory cytokines TNF- and decrease in level of anti-inflammatory cytokines IL-4; accumulation of nitric oxide metabolites; activation of processes of lipid peroxidation (increasing DC and TBA-active products), decrease antioxidant resources (activity of SOD, Cat, CP) during 28 days and it was and accompanied by disturbances of reparative regeneration, slowing of healing.
