The research analyzes the main theoretical approaches to the understanding of the professional competence of college students trade and economics. Done scientific analysis of the problem of formation of professional competence of students specified the meaning of competence and professional competence of students. Distinguished and described the main structural components, criteria, indicators and levels of professional competence of college students trade and economics. Proved psychological characteristics of the individual professional competence and the model of its formation in college students trade and economics. Experimentally verified the effectiveness of technology professional competence of students. Developed and tested program course "Self-management in professional activities" and training "Professional growth of college students trade and economics."
