In the thesis had developed a theoretical model of strategic and typological differences of worker's personal identity in the process of professional adaptation. Based on the results of the empirical research, had singled out the basic strategies of adaptation to a professional environment. The differences of people's personal identity have been analyzed with the focus on their situationally-adaptive, default and subject-value strategies of professional adaptation. The general patterns of employees who work with people and those who work with machines has been defined in the process of professional adaptation. The comparative analysis of the major structural components of personal identity on the normative-orientation, search, reflexive and stage of development value has been made.
