Cerebroprotective and antihypoxic properties of carbonic acid derivatives (3-R-2-oxo-2H-[1,2,4]triazyno[2,3-c]quinazolin-6-yl) particularly evident in sodium salt of 4-(2-oxo-3-methyl-2H-[1,2,4]triazyno[2,3-c]quinazolin-6-yl) butanoic acid (compound DSK-38) were found in unnarcotized rats on the model of acute stroke (bilateral occlusion of the common carotid arteries) and acute asphyxia. Courses (4- and 18-day ) treatment with compound DSK-38 (10 mg/kg intraperitoneally) of rats with acute cerebrovascular accident as citicoline (250 mg/kg intraperitoneally) reduced the manifestations of energydeficit, oxidative stress, lactatacidosis, normalized levels of oxidant-antioxidant balance which correlated with the positive dynamics of morphological changes in the sensomotor cortex. Neuroprotective effect of compound DSK-38 associated with its antihypoxic and antiapoptotic properties, modulation of cerebral hemodynamics, normalization of metabolism in ischemic brain.
