Gorina O. Formation of the Student Youth Spiritual Culture in a Higher Education Institution

This thesis examines the problem of formation of the student youth’s spiritual culture in a higher education institution.It is conditioned by our history that higher education as a sociocultural system has a calling to create not only professional competence, but it also performs the spiritual and cultural impact on the modern society through the formation of the spiritual culture of student youth during their professional training. It has been determined that the spiritual culture of personality is characterized by such features as humanity, tolerance, charity, altruism, responsibility, generosity etc.The research reveals the essential characteristics of the formation process of the spiritual culture in modern higher educational institutions and particularly the purpose, objectives, principles, methods of education and pedagogical technologies.It has been developed and experimentally verified the effectiveness of forming the program of students’ spiritual culture in a regional higher education institution. The impact of humanitarian disciplines cycle on the formation of future specialist has been revealed, in particular special course "Spiritual Heritage of the Native Land ". The involving of the students in volunteer activities through the youth public organization has been proved.The author has presented a comprehensive program "Warm House -" Seven "I", the implementation of which is aimed at the creation of family values for the future specialists.It has been defined the criteria and indicators of formation of the student youth’s spiritual culture level.
