Essay

This thesis is devoted to the English sport language features and sport texts translation problems. Pretranslation analysis is proved to be the powerful means of translation mistakes control. Translation mistakes may occur either when there is a lack of translation competencies or the text is extremely difficult. The translation analysis and correction of translation mistakes in sport texts entitles us to conclude that professional translators may also suffer from linguistic, social and cultural as well technological gaps, which should be taken into consideration when it goes about academic curriculum as well as about practical activities for future translators.
