Mankivska T. Teachers of Slobozhanshchyna in the period of national liberation movement (1917–1921)

. The object of the research: teachers of initial and average comprehensive schools of Slobozhanshchyna in the period of national liberation movement (1917–1921). The dissertation purpose: on the basis of a wide circle of historical sources and scientific literature to analyze a legal and social-economic situation of teachers of Slobozhanshchyna as separate social-professional group and its role in processes of formation and development of national system of education in territory of region. The methods: problem-chronological, historical-comparative, historical-genetic, methods, connected to a direction "a history of everydayness". Scientific novelty: the dissertation deals with the teachers’ status of secondary schools in Slobozhanshchyna during 1917–1921; the character of mutual relations between authority and teachers in the period of national liberation movement is investigated. It is established that teachers of Sloboz-hanshchyna played an important part in preservation and a further development of regional school education; the qualitative staff of teachers in Slobozhanshchyna and reasons of its changing during 1917–1921 are analyzed in the dissertation; the particularities of professional teachers’ organizational process of in Slobozhanshchyna are disclosed; it is ascertained that a low standard of teachers’ financial and social support negatively influenced the quality of teachers’ work and successfulness of educational reforms during 1917–1921 in the region. Practical value of research: the materials of the dissertation can be used at reforming and organization of school education, at creation of the manuals, spelling of the monographies, dissertation researches, by preparation of lecture and seminar at the courses of a history of Ukraine and history of pedagogic, special courses on a history of native edge and history of education.
