Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of formation of main school students'artistic experience by means of folk painting. The research state of the problem has been analyzed in the theory and the practice of comprehensive school. The essences of the notions 'artistic experience of main school students' and 'folk painting means' are specified. Analysis of the educational potential of folk painting has been done. Criteria, indices and levels of artistic experience of main school students are characterized; methods of formation of main school students' artistic experience are developed and experimentally tested.
