Research object - scientifically pedagogical inheritance of S. Rusovoy and M. of Montessori; the subject of the study - comparing historical and pedagogical ideas of educational concepts of Sophia Rusova and Maria Montessori; the purpose of the study is based on a holistic comparative analysis to identify common and different pedagogical concepts by S. Rusova and M. Montessori, justify the directions of their progressive ideas in modern education and educational systems; methods of study: general scientific methods of Comparative Education: analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, modeling, abstraction and concretization, comparison and classification - to study creative works by S. Rusova and M. Montessori from position of the time and the modern theory and practice; theoretical method (historical and educational systems analysis and publications, educational scientific and methodical literature, archival documents, journalistic sources); chronological and retrospective methods (formation and development of pedagogical ideas of S. Rusova and M. Montessori in time dynamics); methods of comparative historical analysis, generalization and systematization of studied historical and biographical facts: (the study of life of teachers S. Rusova and M. Montessori); method of system- structural analysis - to analyze the principles of pedagogical concepts of S. Rusova and M.
