Essay

The thesis are devoted to a new biologically active compound - cuprum-oxyethylidendiphosphonatogermanate (medgerm) - toxic-pharmacological profile estimation, its specific activity determination as well as the main mechanisms of action. For the first time it was established medgerm’s safety. For the first time it was found medgerm’s dose-dependent depriming influence on CNS, anxiolytic activity, absence of both hypnotic and myorelaxant effects as well as presence of analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, and increasing of hepatic detoxicative function. Its antagonism with amphetamine and synergic activity with 5-oxytryptophan were revealed firstly that certify the compound influence on monoaminergic central neurotransmission. Its hepatoprotective effect was revealed firstly in case of prophylactic and curing strategy of administration (i.p., 0.4 mg/kg) – 1.5-2.0 times more expressed compared with reference-compound essentiale in conditions of acute galactoseamine-induced hepatitis. The mentioned effect realized due to activation of antioxidant system as well as inhibition of lipids peroxidation, decreasing of serum and hepatic cholesterol level. The obtained data prove reasonability of medgerm application as potential highly effective and safe medical hepatoprotective agent.
