Skavronska O. Organization of Social and Educational Activities with Juvenile Offenders in Kharkiv Region (the 1st half of the XXth century)

Object - social and educational activities with juvenile offenders in the first half of the twentieth century; the aim - to systematize the theoretical ideas and generalize the practical experience of organization of social and educational activities with juvenile offenders accumulated in the Kharkiv region in the first half of the twentieth century in order to improve the given type of activities at the present day stage of the Ukrainian society development; methods - general scientific, historical, chronological, comparative-analytical; novelty - the research is the first to present the analysis of theory and practice of organization of social and educational activities with juvenile offenders in the Kharkiv region in the first half of the twentieth century; the stages in the development and investigation of the issues dealing with organization of social and educational activities with juvenile offenders in the Kharkiv region have been researched and validated; the scholars' ideas on various aspects of the problem of organization of social and educational activities with juvenile offenders have been systematized; the perspectives on the implementation of pedagogically valuable findings concerning the organization of social and educational activities with juvenile offenders have been established and prognostic tendencies for further investigation of the issues of organization of social and educational activities with juvenile offenders in Ukraine have been determined; the ideas on the preconditions for organization of social and educational activities with juvenile offenders, forms and methods of organization of social and educational activities with juvenile offenders in the Kharkiv region of the period under research have acquired further analysis; results - the materials of the research will be helpful for preparing lectures, monographs, compiling textbooks and teaching manuals on Pedagogy, History of Pedagogy, Comparative Pedagogy, Social Pedagogy; for working out special teaching courses and seminars for pedagogical institutions of different levels of accreditation; for organizing educational activities with secondary school pupils and in training future social teachers and educators in order to prepare them for work with different groups of minors. Some materials of the dissertation may be used for writing course, diploma, Master degree diploma papers and in the system of professional development of teachers; field - pedagogy.
