Essay

The thesis is a comprehensive study of the genre of portraiture in Chinese painting, which reveals its national specificity and the effects on the nature of Western art traditions. For the first time in the Chinese art criticism traced the evolution of portraiture in its historical development, taking into account factors that influenced his art figurative content and language. The development of the genre considered in the context of the historical situation, which formed the basis of artistic culture of that particular era.
