Essay

The thesis of Ruda N.Va. is devoted to search actoprotective activity of new amino acid derivatives of 1,4- naphthoquinone, identify substance-leader that can be used to make new actoprotective drug. It is established that the actoprotective activity of the investigated substances due to the nature of amino acid residues, primarily by the presence of alanine or glycine in the structure of substance. For the first time proved that the substance-leader potassium salt of 2-glicino-3-chlor-1,4-naphthoquinone (compound VI) increases physical endurance of animals in different series of experiments from 60 to 80% depending on the study conditions. We obtained new scientific data about the mechanism of actoprotective effect of compound VI. It is due to the restructuring of metabolism in the cell in the direction of increasing energy reserves and normalize the oxidation/antioxidation prooxidant balance. The results of studies of the pharmacological properties and safety of the compound VI determine the prospects for further preclinical and clinical studies to create on its basis a new actoprotective drug.
