Essay

The research is devoted to the problem of pedagogical support of gifted children in China. The dissertation characterizes the process of the gifted children theory establishing in China during the historical periods. Here it is identified the main development stages of modern education system for gifted children. Based on the normative and legal documents, it's analyzed the basic policies of the PRC in the field of gifted and talented children's support in particular the materials of the Communists party's congresses, reports of political leaders, laws in force, government programs ets. This work reveals the essence of teaching and upbringing of high ability children in special schools and special education classes; the basic concepts of the aforementioned institutions. Relying on the modern Chinese educational tradition, it's detected the basic steps in the identification procedure for gifted and talented children; described the identification methods, the content of teaching and upbringing in special schools and educational institutions for gifted children, as well as in special experimental classes at universities. The research discloses the moral and material incentives provided by the Chinese government for the development of talented children; the main features of teachers training for work with gifted pupils. Based on the research, it's given references for the further improvement of the work with gifted children in Ukraine.
