Object - theory and practice of preschool-age children's play activity (the second half of the XXth - the beginning of the XXIst centuries). Purpose - to ground theoretically the issue of transformations of program and methodical materials of preschool-age children's play activity (the second half of the XXth - the beginning of the XXIst centuries). Methods - theoretical, empirical, statistic. Theoretical results and novelty -The essence of the phenomenon "program and methodical materials support of play activity" has been defined. It means interconnected formation of systematic character that reflects the content of the program of play activity and serves as a foundation for professional teaching materials creation, generalization and spreading the best teaching practices that help to organize the preschool-age children's play activity in the educational process of preschool educational institutions; the notions "transformation", "play activity", "program", "methodical support of educational process" have been specified. The evolution of program and methodical materials of preschool-age children's play activity and the scientific research sources have been analyzed and systematized. The preconditions of formation of preschool-age children's play activity program and methodical materials have been defined. Two periods of the development of preschool-age children's play activity program and methodical materials in the second half of the XXth - at the beginning of the XXIst centuries have been determined. Four stages of these periods have been disclosed. The peculiarities of transformations of preschool-age children's play activity program and methodical materials in the second half of the XXth - at the beginning of the XXIst centuries have been determined. Practical resilts - the course for the students of preschool education departments "Theory and methods of preschool-age children's play activity" has been developed. Efficiency of introduction is high. Branch - pedagogical, higher educational establishments, preschool educational establishments.
