Uvarova T. Cultivating Teenagers' Ideas of Happiness as a Personality's Self-Realization

The thesis is a theoretical and experimental study of the problem of cultivating teenagers' ideas of happiness as a personality's self-realization. Based on the analysis of scientific sources, the work defines the essence of the concept "happiness" as people's inward satisfaction with the conditions of their existence, their understanding of the fullness and meaningfulness of their life. It determines the peculiarities in cultivating teenagers' ideas of happiness as a personality's self-realization in the educational and character-building process at the secondary school. The paper provides theoretical justification for the pedagogical conditions required to cultivate teenagers' ideas of happiness as a personality's self-realization accompanied by the experimental implementation thereof to prove their effectiveness.The thesis also specifies the criteria (affective-motivational, value-target, cognitive-behavioral) for and indicators of the level of teenagers' ideas of happiness cultivated as a personality's self-realization.
