A research object is a teaching and educational process at classical university. The thesis is a theoretical and experimental study of problems of scientific methods of acculturation og foreign students of classical university. The thesis is based on an analysis of scientific literature defines the essence of the concept of "acculturation". Reveals the specifics of the process of acculturation of international students in the educational process of a classical university. The system of scientific methods of acculturation of foreign students of classical university was theoretically grounded. Experimental verification of the system proved its effectiveness. Taking into account the essence of the phenomenon of acculturation and its desired result the criteria (motivational, cognitive, emotional and functional value) and indicators for the diagnosis of acculturation of international students of classical university were selected. Practical value consists that theoretically reasonable scientific and methodical ensuring acculturation of foreign students of classical university can be realized in teaching and educational process of other higher educational institutions.
