The thesis is devoted to the formation of family values in students of higher education institutions. The study is dedicated to the formation of family values and responsible parenthood among the students of higher education institutions. It is analyzed the educational, philosophical, psychological, social, psychological and sociological literature for the disclosure of scientific views on the essence of the concept of "family", "dysfunctional family", "conscious parenthood", specified essential characteristics of basic terms "family values", "responsible parenthood"; defined structural components, performance criteria for the formation of family values in students, the relevant indicators and the levels of their manifestation; formed model defined and justified pedagogical conditions of family values in students and tested their effectiveness.
