The research describes the theoretical basis for examining the author’s image in the autobiographical novel; elaborates the methodology for revealing the author’s image gender particularities in the French female autobiographical novel; defines the author’s image conception as a before-textual level of gender features laying in the author’s image; finds out the author’s image identification in the compositionally strong positions of the autobiographical novel; introduces and grounds the optical illusion effect notion; determines the linguistic and pragmatic image forming elements in the author’s image creation; characterizes the conceived image strategy and its tactics.
