Object of research - development of a local pre-school in the late nineteenth - mid twentieth century; object of study - the development of literature for children of preschool age in the second half of the nineteenth - mid twentieth century and her educational opportunities; methods: general scientific - analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, generalization, systematization, classification, comparison - were the main means of studying and teaching history and archival sources, researching the pre-school of the late nineteenth century - the mid-twentieth century. Various aspects of literature for children; historical-structural method ensured the development of a framework of research, analysis of socio-historical conditions of preschool education for children and literature; chronological method made it possible to trace the history of pre-school education in the late nineteenth century. and to consider and analyze the views of scholars, literary critics different historical periods in literature for preschool children.
