Essay

The dissertation deals with issues concerning the improvement of controllability and stability of auto trucks at steady movement through rational regulation of lateral stiffness of tires by changing the internal air pressure. New solutions to pressing problems in determining the vehicle drivability at steady motion in a straight line and at cornering are obtained. The new criteria of vehicle drivability, stability and maneuverability are available. It made possible to identify the ways for improving the performance of these properties. An experimental verification of theoretical positions regarding the natural oscillation frequency of the auto truck Ural-4320 in the plane of the road is carried out. The results obtained are used by Shebelinsk OTT and STBU "Ukrburhaz" when carrying out maintenance and repair of technological motor vehicles and by PJSC "Azovobshemash" in the development of new designs of vehicles.
