Essay

Dissertation is devoted to forming students' spiritual and cultural values of education. On the basis of analysis of the philosophical, psychological and pedagogical literature the theoretical and methodological basics of forming students' spiritual and cultural values of education have been defined. Scientific approaches to the problem of forming students' spiritual and cultural values of education have been characterized. The problem field of the investigation has been analyzed. The essence of the concepts "value", "education", "values of education", "spirituality", "spiritual culture", "spiritual values" and "cultural values" has been specified. The essential characteristics of the notion "spiritual and cultural values of education" is given which we define as the whole set of meaningful for the person moral-oriented priorities in education that define the line of personality behavior and contribute to its most full self-realization in all the spheres of vital activity in compliance with the laws of Truth, Good and Beauty. The indicators, criteria and levels of forming students' spiritual and cultural values of education are revealed. The effectiveness of the model of the organizational and methodological system of forming students' spiritual and cultural values of education has been theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified. The special course "Educated Personality" has been worked out.
